Method
- Wash and dry the fish and cut into pieces.
- Heat 1 tbsp. oil.
- Add turmeric, chopped coriander leaves, chillies, garam masala and salt to taste. Let it sizzle for 2-3 mins.
- Then add the lemon juice and put in the pieces of fish and fry them well on both sides so that the masala coats them well.
- When they are cooked, remove and reserve.
- Fry the chopped onion to a light brown, add the rice and salt and fry for 2-3 mins.
- Add 3 cups of hot water and cook till nearly done.
- Then place fish pieces on top and cover.
- Cook on a very low heat.
- Let the rice cook till all water evaporates.
Serve hot.
