Prawn Coconut Fry

Method
  1. Soak tamarind in � cup hot water and extract the pulp.
  2. Heat the oil. Add mustard. When they crackle add onion and curry leaves. Fry till onions are brown.
  3. Add prawn, salt and turmeric. Fry till prawns are cooked. Add chili and pepper powder.
  4. After 30 seconds, add tamarind pulp. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add coconut and simmer till almost dry.
  5. Serve with steamed rice or chapathi.
Ingredients:
Tamarind - 3 cm round lump
Oil - 4 tbsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 cup, finely chopped
Curry leaves - few
Shelled, cleaned prawns - 500 gm
Turmeric powder - � tsp
Chili powder - 2 tsp or to taste
Pepper powder - � tsp
Shelled and cleaned prawns - 500 gm
Salt - to taste
Grated coconut - 1 cup
