Sour Fish Curry (Mas Tenga)

Method
  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan.
  2. Add onion, and fry till light brown.
  3. Add tomato and green chili.
  4. Cook on slow heat till tomatoes are wilted.
  5. Add fish, turmeric, salt and about 2cups of water.
  6. Simmer till fish is cooked.
  7. Remove from heat, stir in the lime juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice.

Serves: 4-6

Note:

  • Though this is served as a curry, it is more like a light refreshing soup.
  • This is one of the most popular and frequently prepared dishes.
  • It is also easy to make.
Ingredients:
fish pieces - 500 gm
mustard oil - 1 tbsp
onion - � cup, chopped
tomato - � cup, chopped
green chili - 2, chopped
turmeric powder - 1 tsp
lime juice 2 tbsp
coriander leaves to garnish
salt to taste
