Steamed fish with green peas and yoghurt

Method
  1. Place fish in dekchi or container in which you intend steaming.
  2. Add all the other ingredients including oil and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add salt and 1 ½ tsp. sugar or to taste
  4. Cover container or dekchi with tight fitting lid or a piece of foil. Place in a large dekchi or pan.
  5. Steam for half an hour or till fish is cooked.
  6. Carefully remove small dekchi from the larger pan. Remove cover and pour fish into serving bowl. Remove cover and pour fish into serving bowl.
  7. At its best when not rewarmed.
  8. In a pressure cooker at 15 lb pressure the fish should be cooked no more than 15 mins.
  9. A good accompaniment with rice.
Ingredients:
1 kg. rui, cut in medium to small pieces
250 gms. green peas, shelled and ground to a fine paste with a little water
1 tbsp. turmeric paste
1 tsp. chilli paste
2 cloves garlic ground to a paste
1-inch piece ginger, ground to a paste
1 onion, ground to a paste
4 tbsp. dahi
3-4 green chillies, slit
Salt and sugar to taste
250 gms. mustard oil
