Spicy Paya Curry

Method
  1. Marinate the goat feet with the ginger-garlic paste.
  2. Place them in a pressure cooker with the cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms, black peppercorns, pepper powder and 1 tablespoons oil.
  3. Cover with enough water {should be atleast 2 inches above the level of the goat feet}.
  4. Cook for about 50 minutes or till they are tender.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Toss in the onions and spring onions.
  7. Stir-fry until the raw smell is gone and they change colour.
  8. Add chopped green chillies and all the spice {masala} powders.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until the mixture is pulpy.
  11. Add the chopped mint and coriander leaves alongwith salt to taste.
  12. Mix well.
  13. Pressure cook for another 50 minutes or until tender.
  14. Serve in soup plates with crisp bread rolls and spring onions.

6 - goat's feet, cleaned and washed (trotter)
2 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp - black pepper
2 inches - cinnamon sticks
2 - green cardamoms
2 - cloves
4 - whole black peppercorns
2 tbsp - oil
1 - medium onion
2 - spring onions, both whites and greens
4 - green chillies
1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
1 tsp - sambhar powder
2 tsp - red chilli powder
1/2 tsp - garam masala powder
1 tbsp - chopped fresh mint leaves
3 tbsp - chopped fresh coriander leaves
3 - tomatoes, chopped
salt
