Steamed Mutton Kofta In Cabbage Leaves

For mutton rolls:

  1. Mix the above items and knead thoroughly for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Shape into 20 rolls.
  3. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

For kofta:

  1. Enclose the mutton rolls in each cabbage leaf, tucking the ends well.
  2. Place the cabbage rolls in a pan with 1 cup of water to which 1 tsp of oil is added.
  3. Cook covered on low flame for about 25-30 minutes till the water dries up.
  4. Serve hot. Sprinkle a little chilli powder if desired.

For mutton rolls:
450 gm Meat, finely minced (Kheema)
1 tsp garlic paste
3/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp refined oil
3/4 tsp garam masala
2 beaten eggs
2 tbsp onions (finely chopped)
2 green chillies (finely chopped)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs

For kofta:
20 large cabbage leaves (blanch in salted water and completely drain off water)
1 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1 cup water
