Shrimp balls

  1. In a bowl, mix together all the above ingredients to a rather stiff batter.
  2. Heat oil till smoking and drop batter in small round balls into oil.
  3. Cook to a golden brown.
  4. Serve with tomato ketchup.
  5. Delightful as a cocktail snack.
500 gms. shrimps, shelled and cleaned
60 gms. ginger, very finely chopped and shredded
1 onion or a bunch spring onions, finely chopped (part of the leafy tops of the green onions may be used)
2 eggs
1&1/2-2 tbsp Flour
2 green chillies, finely chopped, seeds removed
2 cloves garlic, minced fine or ground to a paste
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly grated black pepper
Oil for deep frying
