Sausage Rolls Ups

Method
  1. Cream butter with cream cheese and salt.
  2. Add the sifted flour.
  3. Form into a ball and chill for 15 mins.
  4. Boil the sausages and cool.
  5. Roll pastry on a lightly floured plastic sheet into a rectangle and cut into strips.
  6. Pat a dab of mustard on each sausage.
  7. Roll each sausage in a strip of pastry.
  8. Place on a greased baking tray, making sure that the seam of the pastry is on the underside.
  9. Brush each with 1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tbsp. milk.
  10. Sprinkle lightly toasted poppyseeds on the top of each roll up.
  11. Bake at 200°C for about 10-12 mins. Serve hot.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg - sausages
1 1/2 cups - sifted flour
1/2 cup - butter
1/2 cup - cream cheese
1/2 tsp - salt
mustard to taste
1 - egg yolk
1 tbsp - milk
poppyseeds
