Method
  1. Boil the potatoes and mash when still hot.
  2. Immerse the spinach in hot water for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Squeeze out the water completely from the spinach and keep aside.
  4. Cut rounds from the bread slices using a cutter or a lid.
  5. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan.
  6. Add the chopped French beans, carrots, onions, green chillies and aji-no-motto.
  7. Saute on a low flame till the vegetables are tender but crunchy.
  8. Add the kept aside mashed potatoes, spinach, chilli sauce, salt and vinegar.
  9. Saute on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Remove from gas and cool completely.
  11. Mix flour in sufficient water to make a mixture of dropping consistency, but thick enough to coat the gold coin.
  12. Place about 1 heaped tablespoon of the vegetable mixture on each circular piece of bread.
  13. Dip it in the flour mixture and deep fry in hot oil on a medium flame till golden.
  14. Repeat the same with the remaining bread pieces and vegetable mixture.
  15. Serve hot with any sauce.
Ingredients:
10 - bread slices 100 g - french beans (finely chopped)
2 - medium sized carrots (finely chopped)
3 - green chillies (crushed)
2 - medium sized potatoes
1 - small onion (finely chopped)
handful - spinach (washed and finely chopped)
green chilli sauce (as per taste)
pinch - ajni-no-motto
oil for deep frying
½ tsp - vinegar
2 tbsp - oil (for sauting)
salt to taste
4 tbsp - flour
