Nettili Sambol (Dry Fish Sambol)

Method
  1. Wash dry fish, strain dry and keep aside.
  2. Make sure that there are no sand particles on it.
  3. Heat wok, add oil, fry dry fish, remove and keep aside
  4. In the remaining oil, fry garlic pod, red chillies, grated coconut, curry leaves and coriander leaves till brown.
  5. Add every thing along with salt and blend coarsely.
  6. Do not add water, it should be absolutely dry and coarse.
  7. Sprinkle in steamed rice or eat as side dish with steamed rice or chappati.
Ingredients:
200g - dry anchovy (nettili)
5 tsp - grated coconut
5 - red chillies
1 - garlic pod
1 tsp - oil
Curry leaves, a few
Coriander leaves, a few
Salt to taste
