Easy methi ginger chicken

Method
  1. In a wok, heat oil, add cumin and allow to splutter
  2. Add ginger and fry for some time.
  3. Add chopped methi/fenugreek leaves and fry till oil separates.
  4. Add chicken and fry until water evaporates
  5. Add chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
  6. Cook the entire mixture for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Add water to make gravy and cook until done.

Note: Water should be added only if a gravy is required; else it can be a dry dish which tastes equally good

Ingredients:
500 chicken - cleaned and cut into medium sized pieces
50-100g - methi/fenugreek leaves finely chopped
1-2 tbsp - ginger finely sliced or ground to a paste
Oil
3 - green chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp - red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder
1 tsp - cumin
