Method
  1. Soak gram and rice in water for 6-8 Hrs.
  2. Grind with rest of the ingredients to smooth batter of thick pouring consistency.
  3. Heat oil, fry cumin, green chillies and onion.
  4. Mix with coconut
  5. Heat a dosa tawa.
  6. Pour a ladle full of batter on it and spread into a disc.
  7. Pour a little oil all round it and cook till the top is set and the under side is golden brown.
  8. Spread some filling on it and fold into two and remove on to a plate.
  9. Prepare all the pesarattus thus.
  10. Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Serves: 4 to 6

Ingredients:
whole green gram - 1 cup
raw rice - ¼ cup
green chilies - 2 to 3
ginger - 1 cm
salt to taste

For Topping:
oil - 2 tbsp
cumin - 1 tsp
minced green chilies - 1 tbsp
minced onion - 1 cup
grated coconut - 1 cup
