Method
  • Wash chicken and cut into pieces.
  • Grind ginger.
  • Heat ghee season with with tej, cardamom and asafoetida.
  • Add chicken ground ginger, curds, salt and cover and simmer for 10 mts.
  • Add chilly, cumin and coriander powder. Cover and cook chicken.
  • The ingredients would stick at the bottom; stir every few minutes.
  • Cook till all water evaporates and ghee oozes out.
  • Sprinkle garam masala.
  • Steam potatoes and cut into two and fry. Add chicken.
  • Blanch almonds slice and fry and sprinkle on chicken.
  • Pour 1 cup hot water. Bring to a boil.
  • Ingredients:
    1 chicken
    2 sticks tej
    1 tsp hing
    Salt
    2&1/2 tsp chilly powder
    1/2 tsp jeera pd
    15 almonds
    4 inch piece ginger
    3 black cardamom
    3cups curds
    1 tsp garam masala
    1&1/2 tsp dhania powder
    5 tbsps ghee
    5 potatoes
