Method
- Firstly boil dal in water with whole garam masala and curry leaves.
- Add green chillies, tomatoes and salt.
- Once cooked, mash and mix in tamarind pulp with some water and keep aside.
For mutton curry:
- Heat oil in a cooker, saute onions & mint leaves till they are fried properly.
- Add mutton, ginger & garlic paste, turmeric and red chilli powder according to taste, garam masala powder and mix well
- Add a glass of water and cook till meat is tender.
- Open cooker, add the mashed dal and cook uncovered for 5 min.
- Add coriander leaves and serve hot with plain rice.

1 cup tur dal
1/2 kg meat
1 tsp garam masala (cinnamom, cloves, cardamom, fennel)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp tamarind pulp
Curry leaves
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
5 green chillies
1 bunch mint leaves
1 bunch coriander leaves
2 onions, sliced
2 tomatoes
Salt
3 tbsp oil
