Hyderabadi Dal Gosht Ka Salan

Method
  1. Firstly boil dal in water with whole garam masala and curry leaves.
  2. Add green chillies, tomatoes and salt.
  3. Once cooked, mash and mix in tamarind pulp with some water and keep aside.

For mutton curry:

  1. Heat oil in a cooker, saute onions & mint leaves till they are fried properly.
  2. Add mutton, ginger & garlic paste, turmeric and red chilli powder according to taste, garam masala powder and mix well
  3. Add a glass of water and cook till meat is tender.
  4. Open cooker, add the mashed dal and cook uncovered for 5 min.
  5. Add coriander leaves and serve hot with plain rice.

1 cup tur dal
1/2 kg meat
1 tsp garam masala (cinnamom, cloves, cardamom, fennel)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp tamarind pulp
Curry leaves
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
5 green chillies
1 bunch mint leaves
1 bunch coriander leaves
2 onions, sliced
2 tomatoes
Salt
3 tbsp oil
