Method
  1. Heat oil in a large pan, fry onions till brown.
  2. Add ground spices and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken and fry till brown.
  4. Add 2 cups of water, curd and saffron strands and simmer till the chicken is cooked.
  5. Season with salt and remove from heat. Serve this dish hot.

Ingredients:
1/2 kg chicken, chopped into bite-sized pieces
100g curd
1 large onion, chopped
A few strands of saffron
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

For the paste:
3 red chillies, deseeded
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 star anise
3 black peppercorns
2 cardamom pods
1/2 inch long piece of cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped coriander
1 inch ginger
8 cashew nuts
1 tsp raisin
