Chicken masala semi gravy

  1. In a large bowl combine yogurt, lemon juice, 2 tsp oil, 2 tsp cumin, cinnamon, ginger and garlic paste and 4 tsp salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Stir in chicken, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour to marinate.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. When oil is hot, add the onion to the pan and cook until soft.
  5. When onion is golden brown, add ginger and garlic paste and fry for 6-7 min again.
  6. Add some turmeric powder, chilly powder, chicken masala, 1 cup finely chopped tomato and salt.
  7. Fry it for 7-8 min more till oil separates.
  8. Now add the marinated chicken to frying pan; fry on sim for 15-20 minutes.
  9. When water evaporates, stop cooking.
  10. Now, transfer to a serving platter, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves, cinnamon powder and a little butter.
