This roti is a made of a combination of high-fibre flours that are digested slowly. Drumstick leaves added boost your iron content and give the necessary tang to the roti.
Ingredients:
1 cup - dry drumstick leaves (washed and chopped finely)
1 cup - wheat flour
1 cup - gram flour
1 cup - jowari flour
1 cup - rice flour
5 to 6 tbsp - ghee
1 tsp - coriander seed powder
1 tsp - cumin seed powder
1&1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
1 - onion (finely chopped)
Salt to taste
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients well except ghee.
- Add sufficient water to make a stiff dough.
- On a non-stick tava, smear little ghee and heat well.
- Make small rotis and roast on both sides till golden on a low flame, applying little ghee when you flip the sides.
