Oats
Oats contain slow-digesting carbs that provide long-lasting energy when eaten before workouts. Its high fibre content is the best diet for building lean muscle mass.

Try this quick, energising porridge.

Oats savoury porridge

Ingredients:
1/2 cup - oats
6-10 flakes - garlic
2-3 tbsp - carrot, chopped
3 tbsp - tomato, chopped
1 - green chilli, chopped
1/4 tsp - fennel (optional) crush slightly
2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
Salt to taste
1/4 cup - coconut, grated

Method:

Pressure cook everything with enough water (just add enough to cover the oats), except coconut in the above ingredients up to 2 whistles.
Open the cooker and mash contents well with a masher.
Make sure you mash the garlic properly so that the flavour blends well.
Extract milk from the coconut by grinding it with lukewarm water and squeeze out the milk.
Add the extracted milk to the porridge and mix well; heat a little and serve hot!
Smells great with garlic, fennel, coriander and tastes great with coconut milk.
