
Ingredients:
1 cup - tur dal, cooked
Tamarind, small gooseberry sized
12-15 - small onions/shallots
3 - green chillies
1 - tomato
2 sprig - curry leaves
2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
Salt as you need
1/4 tsp - jaggery (optional)
Vegetable of your choice (potatoes work best)
To roast and grind:
1 tbsp - channa dal
1 tsp - urad dal
5-6 - red chillies
1&1/2 tsp - dry coriander seeds
1/2 tsp - fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp - mustard (optional)
To temper:
3/4 tsp - mustard
1/2 tsp - fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp - asafoetida
1 tsp - cumin
