
Ingredients:
1 cup - quick cook Oats
1 - lemon
1/8 tsp - turmeric powder
Salt as needed
1 & 1/4 cup - water
To temper:
1-2 tbsp - sesame oil
3/4 tsp - mustard
1 tsp - urad dal
1 tsp - channa dal
Ground nuts (optional), a few
1 sprig - curry leaves
1/8 tsp - asafoetida
2-3 - red chillies or green chilli
Method:
Heat a pan with oil and temper the items as in order.
Fry till the mustard splutters over a medium flame.
Add the water, turmeric powder and squeeze the lemon, mix the salt. Bring to boil.
Add the oats and mix well.
Cook covered for 3 minutes in medium low flame.
Serve hot, you can top with sesame oil if you want.
