Make your pasta healthy by choosing the whole wheat variety and by cooking it with crunchy vegetables
For sauce:
1 tsp oil
1/4 cup onions, chopped fine
1/2 tbsp - garlic, chopped
3/4 tsp - tomato puree
1/4 tsp - chilli powder
salt to taste
1/2 cup low fat milk
1/2 tsp - cornflour mixed in 1/2 tbsp water
For pasta:
1&1/2 cups - whole wheat pasta
1 tsp - garlic, chopped
1/4 cup - sweet corn kernels
1/2 tsp - red chilli flakes
1/4 cup - capsicum
1/2 tsp - oil
Method for sauce:
1 tsp oil
Heat oil in a pan, add onions, garlic and saute.
Add tomato puree, chilli powder and salt and cook for 5 mins.
Add milk and corn flour mix, boil and keep aside.
Method for pasta:
1 tsp oil
Heat oil, saute garlic and capsicum
Add corn, chilli flakes, pasta and sauce and toss gently.
Cook for 1 min more and serve hot.
