Baked Beans on Buns

Method

  1. In a pan heat butter, saute the onions till brown.

  2. Add the peppers, oregano, chilli powder, celery, salt, sugar and the baked beans.

  3. Cut the buns in half and arrange them in a baking tray.

  4. Spread some mixture on top of each bun and sprinkle with Mozerella cheese

  5. Bake till golden brown and serve hot.

Tip of the day:

Try to get fresh beans available with the local vegetable vendor in the rainy season, boil them and freeze them. You can make your own tomato puree and add to it to make your own baked beans. They are much tastier.

Ingredients:
4 Buns (do not use sweet ones)
1 Tin Baked Beans
2 medium Onions
2 green Bell Peppers
1 tbsp Amul Butter
4 tbsp Mozerella Cheese
2 pinches dried Oregano
3/4 tbsp chopped fresh Celery
1-1/2 tbsp Red Chilli powder
Salt, Sugar to taste
