Method
  1. Wash the spinach and grind in it a mixer grinder. Set aside.
  2. Boil the chana dal and mash it. Set aside. Heat some of the oil in a kadai, add the cumin and spinach paste.
  3. Fry till it dries up. Add the mashed chana dal and paneer and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Add the salt, garam masala and roasted chana powders and mix thoroughly.
  5. Add the cashewnuts, raisins and chironji.
  6. Make small balls out of the mixture and roll out into the shape of tikkis / patties.
  7. Heat the oil in a kadai and deep fry the tikkis.
  8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
Ingredients:
500 gms. spinach
100 gms. chana dal
olive pomace oil for frying
20 gms. cumin
100 gms. paneer mashed
salt to taste
20 gms. garam masala powder
50 gms. roasted chana powder
20 gms. cashewnuts chopped
20 gms. raisins chopped
20 gms. chironji.
