Method
  1. Wash and soak rice and pasta for around 10 minutes in one bowl.
  2. Wash and cut (chop) all the vegetables into small pieces.
  3. Put some ghee or oil in the pressure cooker and when it is hot, add the jeera.
  4. When jeera stars to pop, add the choped tomato.
  5. Cook it for 1-2 minutes and then add all the other chopped vegetables to it.
  6. Cook it for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Drain the water from the rice and pasta mix.
  8. Now add rice and pasta to the vegetables and put around 2 1/2 cups of water to it.
  9. Add salt, peeper, garam masala and dhania (coriander) powder to it.
  10. Pressure cook it, giving two whistles to the cooker.
  11. Serve it hot with curd or little bit of sweet tomato ketchup or sauce.
Note :
Do not give big pieces of pasta to the small kids.
To crush the pasta into small pieces before cooking you can break it with hands or put it in muslin cloth and press with some heavy thing like your kitchen roller (belan).
After cooking full sized pasta, While feeding the kid cut or press the pasta pieces with the spoon, so that it is easy to swallow for the kids.
You can also use small size of pasta.
More vegetables can be added like cucumber, potato etc. to give a different taste.
You can also add some chopped and boiled chicken or mutton in small pieces, to give it a non-veg form.
Ingredients:
1 cup - rice
1/2 cup - pasta (Crush the pasta into small pieces)
one carrot
3-4 mushrooms
one tomato (big)
1/4 cup of green peas
1/2 table spoon cumin (jeera)
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
1 teaspoon of dhania powder (or few dhania leaves)
1 table spoon of oil
salt to taste
