Cabbage Rice

Method
  1. Cook rice in a rice cooker separately.

  2. Cook cabbage with salt, turmeric and water in a open sauce pan. Drain the remaining water if any.

  3. Make coconut paste with chilli & ginger.

  4. Splutter mustard & urid dhal in ghee in a tawa, put the cooked cabbage and the grinded coconut keep it in a stove still it becomes dry. Add this to the rice, mix it gently.

  5. Season it with fried cashiews & coriander leaves. Serve it hot.

Ingredients:
Rice 1 cup
Cabbage 1 (small in size)
Coconut 1/2 (grated)
Green Chilli 7 or 8
Ginger 1 small piece
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Mustard & Urid dhal 1 tsp each
Ghee 1 tsp
Coriandar leaves, Curry leaves, Cashewnuts for seasoning
