  1. Soak the dals for about an hour.

  2. Grind them with the rest of the ingredients taking care to add as less water ( 1/4 cup).

  3. Ground mix should be of Idli batter consistency.

  4. Cook the contents ina pressure cooker.

  5. Fry them in oil on low flame for about 20-30 min till the contents are dry to touch.

  6. You can try it as a side dish with rice/sambar or with rice and ghee.

Ingredients:
Chopped Methi leaves - 1 Cup
Toor dal - 1/2 Cup
channa Dal - 1/2 Cup
Fresh Grated coconuts - 1/3 Cup
Red CHillies- 6-8 Nos or as per taste
Salt- As per taste
Cumin seeds- 1tsp
Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
Oil - For Frying 1/4 cup
