Mushroom Thoran

Method
  1. Chop onion finely.
  2. Cut each mushroom into 6 pieces and keep aside
  3. Grind together grated coconut, turmeric pdr, jeera ,1 garlic flake and 1 red chilly, just crush it.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai, add the mushrooms to it and stir fry it till they are3/4 done adding a little salt.
  5. Keep the mushrooms aside.
  6. Then in the same kadai heat oil and add mustard seeds.
  7. After spluttering add urad dal, redchilly and curry leaves and saute till it turns golden brown
  8. Now add the chopped onion to it saute till it becomes golden brown.
  9. Add the crushed masala to it and saute for 1 to 2 mins.
  10. Add little salt to it.
  11. Finally add the mushrooms to it and saute for 2 mins.
  12. Serve hot with rice or chappathi.
Ingredients:
button mushroom - 250 gms
onion - 1 large
grated coconut - 3/4 cup
jeera - 1/2 tsp
garlic - 1 - 2 flakes
redchilly - 2nos
curry leaves - a few
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
urad dhal - 1 tsp
oil - 2 tbspns
turmeric pdr - 1/4 tsp
salt to taste
