Peas Rice

Method
  1. Wash and soak rice in water for 15 mins in a cooker.
  2. Heat oil and fry the garlic till brown. add onions and fry till brown.
  3. Add this to the rice in the cooker. Add the shelled peas, salt, garam masala and chili powder.
  4. Mix gently and cook till rice is done.
  5. To serve, top the rice with fried capsicum strips.
  6. You can also add finely chopped and fried carrots along with the capsicum as topping.
Ingredients:
2 Cups Basmathi rice
4 Cups water
1 medium Onion - chopped
1 capsicum - remove seeds and cut into thin strips
10 cloves garlic - chopped fine
1/2 cup shelled peas
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
