Method
- Wash and soak rice in water for 15 mins in a cooker.
- Heat oil and fry the garlic till brown. add onions and fry till brown.
- Add this to the rice in the cooker. Add the shelled peas, salt, garam masala and chili powder.
- Mix gently and cook till rice is done.
- To serve, top the rice with fried capsicum strips.
- You can also add finely chopped and fried carrots along with the capsicum as topping.
Ingredients:
2 Cups Basmathi rice
4 Cups water
1 medium Onion - chopped
1 capsicum - remove seeds and cut into thin strips
10 cloves garlic - chopped fine
1/2 cup shelled peas
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
