Potatoes in Peanut

Method
  1. Boil the potatoes.
  2. Mash a few pieces.
  3. Cut the remaining into small cubes.
  4. In a kadai, put a little oil and keep on medium flame.
  5. When it gets hot, add mustard seeds and cummin seeds.
  6. When mustard seeds splutter, add the curry leaves, ginger and the green chillies.
  7. After the chillies are fried, add the finely chopped peanut powder in the oil.
  8. Fry for sometime, dont let the peanuts burn.
  9. After this add the potatoes in.
  10. Mix the peanut and the potatoes well.
  11. If the oil is less, then add some more.
  12. After this add the dhania powder, mirchi powder and salt to the mixture.
  13. Add a little water and let the mixture cook for abt 3 mins.
  14. After this add the chopped coriander (cilantro).
  15. Cook for about 2-3 minute more, till the water evaporates.
  16. Serve it hot with rotis and curd (yogurt).
Ingredients:
2 to 4 - potatoes (boiled)
1/2 cup - peanuts (finely chopped, or ground not too powdery)
1/4 tsp - curry powder
1/2 - 1 tsp dhania powder
1/2 - 1 tsp mirchi powder
1/2 cup - chopped coriander (clilantro) leaves
1 to 2 - green chillies
1/2 slice - ginger
mustard seeds
jeera (cummin)
oil for frying
salt to taste
