Rice Flakes Pudding (Aval Pudding)

Method
  1. Soak rice flakes in 1/4 cup of low fat milk for 5 minutes and grind it into a smooth paste.
  2. Boil the milk for 10 to 15 minutes or until it gets thickened.
  3. Add the ground rice flake batter and stir it gently. Allow it to cool.
  4. Pour half of the batter in a oven proof pudding bowl, spread a layer of jam over it.
  5. Then pour the rest of the ground batter over the jam.
  6. Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180*c for 10 to 15 minutes or until it changes to brown in colour.
  7. After tasting, feel the fantastic taste.
Ingredients:
Roasted rice flakes:
2 cups - rice flakes (strong aval)
Low fat milk - 1 litre
Any kind of jam
