Simple Sandwich

Method
  1. Cut the onions to very small pieces(the taste improves with how tiny the pieces are) Grate the carrots, coriander and chilli and keep them separately.

  2. Heat a pan with a teaspoon of cooking oil and fry the jeera seeds for a while.

  3. To this add the onion and saute for a few minutes.

  4. Add grated carrot, chili to this mixture.

  5. Add salt to taste, turmeric powder and allow the mixture to cook for a few minutes keeping the pan covered.

  6. After it is cooked garnish with coriander leaves and allow the mixture to cool.

  7. Place about a table spoon of mixture inbetween two bread slices and toast the slices by applying a small amount of butter or ghee.

  8. Now the sandwich is ready for eating.

This is a low calorie simple and nutritious snack/breakfast.
To make:2 sandwiches
Ingredients:
Bread slices:4
Onion:2 medium sized
Carrots:1medium sized
Coriander: one small bunch
Green chillies: 1
Jeera seeds: one pinch
cooking oil: 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice: a few drops
A pinch of turmeric and chilli powder
Salt to taste
