Method
  1. Combine eggs and sugar. Beat until thick. Sift flour and baking powder.
  2. Add flour, melted butter, vanilla essence and water to the egg mixture.
  3. Spoon a little into each well greased moulds.
  4. Bake at 190� C for 12-15 mis Or until well golden brown.
  5. Remove and cool on wire rack. Brush each Madeleine with jam.
  6. Coat well with desiccated coconut and top with glace cherries.

1 cup - flour
1 cup - castor sugar
185 g - butter (melted)
2 - egg
2 tsps - baking powder
1 tsp - vanilla essence
1 tbsp - hot water

To Decorate:
desiccated coconut
glaced cherries (halved) jam
