Jackfruit Pradhaman

Method
  1. Cut the jackfruit into small pieces.
  2. Pressure cook it along with moongdal for about 10 mts after three whistles.
  3. Once it depressurises smash the cooked jackfruit pieces and moongdal well.
  4. In a kadai put 1 1/2 cup jaggery and very little water.
  5. When it boils strain it and remove the dirt.
  6. Put the jaggerry syrup in the kadai and let it boil.
  7. Then add the smashed dal and jackfruit pieces.
  8. Stir it well with a spatula.
  9. When it starts becoming thick, add the one tin coconut milk mixed with 1/2 cup cold water to it.
  10. Let it boil, then remove from flame and add the other 1 tin coconut milk to it.
  11. Add 1tsp ghee to the pradhaman, serve hot or chilled.
Ingredients:
pitted jackfruit - 15
jaggery - 1 1/2 cup
moong dal - 1/2 cup
coconut milk - 2 medium size tins
