¼ kg (8 to 10) - really small, even sized egg plants
2 - large onions, chopped fine
1 cup - fresh or dry grated coconut or 1 cup ground peanuts
2 tbsp - tamarind pulp (or to taste)
1 tsp - goda masala
1 tsp - red chilli powder
1 tsp - crushed jaggery
1 tsp - amchur
1 tsp - sesame seed
2 cloves - crushed garlic (optional)
2 tbsp - oil
1 tsp - salt
1 tsp - garam masala
