Chena Curry (Yam Curry)

Method
  1. Wash and cut the yam, ginger and green chillies into small pieces.

  2. Put them in a pressure cooker with salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Pressure cook till the yam is well cooked.
  4. Open the cooker amd roughly mash the yam with a laddle.

  5. Put the cooker back on fire and add the cooked dal and salt.
  6. Keep it for 5 minutes till all the ingredients are mixed together. Remove from fire.
  7. Heat oil and add the mustard, urad dal and curry leaves.

  8. Pour them over the yam.
  9. Lastly add the lemon juice. Do not reheat after adding the lemon juice.

Ingredients:
1/2kg Yam
100 gms of cooked Tur Dal
5-6 Green Chillies
25 gms Ginger
1 tsp Mustrard
1 tsp Urad dal
Cuury leaves, Salt
1 tbsp Oil
Juice of 1 Lemon
