  1. Soak chana overnight with a pinch of soda bicarbonate added.

  2. Pressure cook chana with a teabag and salt. Do not drain the water from the cooker only remove the teabag.

  3. In a Kadai add oil with Onion and add all the remaining ingredients, saute for some time, then add the chana, while doing so mash the chana slightly so that it mixes well with the rest of the ingredients.

  4. Garnish with sliced onions, green chillies and tomatoes.

Serve hot with Bhatura, Puris or Nans. Hope u enjoy it as much as we do.


Tea Bag : 1
1/4 kg Chana
Soda Bicarbonate : a pinch
Onion : 1 chopped
Mango powder : 1-2 tsp
Black Salt : 1/2 tsp
Sukha dhania powder : 1 tsp
Red Chilli powder : 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala : 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Garlic and ginger paste
