Mithi Seviyan (Sweet Vermicelli)
Method
- Break the vermicelli into medium-sized pieces.
- Lightly heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel for few seconds.
- On a low flame fry the vermicelli till it turns a shade darker than golden, add water and powdered cardamoms.
- Cook on a medium flame, stirring continuously till the water dries up. Add sugar.
- When the water from the sugar dries up, cover it with a lid and remove from the stove.
- Serve hot after 5 minutes.
Ingredients:
2 handfuls - vermicelli
7 tbsp - sugar
4 to 5 - green cardamoms (powdered)
3 tbsp - ghee
2 cups - water
