Method

  1. Put oil in kadai & fry all the above masala. First garlic & onion then methi seeds then put chilli, coriander powder, hing, curry leaves and then coconut and fry till the coconut is golden brown.

  2. Cool the masala and grind in mixer with water. Keep aside.

  3. First pressure cook dal & potato together with little turmeric & hing. Wash and cut the vegetables and boil rest of the vegetables with turmeric & salt add tamarind water to this and once the vegetables are cooked add the dal & potato and allow to boil after that add the masala and curry leaves and boil.

  4. Give tadka of mustard seeds and serve hot with Rice / Idli / Dosa.

Ingredients:
Ladies Finger (Bhindi) 6-7 (Fry in oil after cutting them)
Drumstick 1-2
Potato (large) 1
Tomatoes 2-3
Onion 2-3
Tur Dal 1 Katori (vati)
Masala
Coconut 1/2 coconut
Garlic - 7 cloves
Methi seeds - few
Coriander powder - 2-3 spoons
Chilli Powder - 2 spoons / as per taste
Hing - 1/2 spoon / as per taste
Curry leaves - 10 leaves
Onion 1/2 piece
