Method
  1. Roast the gram flour in a kadai till the raw smell disappears.
  2. Let it become slightly brownish.
  3. Add a spoon of ghee in the end.
  4. Keep the roasted gram flour in a separate plate.
  5. Now add sugar and milk in the kadai.
  6. Let the sugar melt till it becomes sticky.
  7. Keep stirring till the syrup gets a waxy consistency.
  8. Now add the gram flour and stir to remove lumps.
  9. Reduce the flame and add half a cup of ghee and continue to stir.
  10. The flour absorbs the ghee.
  11. Add the remaining ghee slowly.
  12. Stir till all the ghee is absorbed.
  13. Now it looks shiny light golden brown.
  14. Add elachi, cashews and raisins.
  15. Continue to stir till the flour leaves the edges of the kadai and becomes thick.
  16. Remove the kadai from the stove and transfer the contents to a greased plate.
  17. Allow it to cool. Cut them into pieces and enjoy the Mysore pak melting in your mouth.
Ingredients:
gram flour (besan) - 1 cup
sugar - 2 cups
ghee - 1 � to 2 cups
milk (diluted) - � cup
elachi - 2 pods
raisins and cashew (optional) - finely chopped
