Method
  1. Cook urad dal and grind it finely.

  2. Mix the rice flour, butter, salt and cumin seeds and make a dough of bread (chapati) consistency.

  3. Press the dough into the shape of tenkuzhal.

  4. Drop it in medium hot oil. Fry till done but make sure that the tenkuzhal is not brown. Remove excess oil on a paper towel and store in a plastic air-tight container.

Ingredients:
Rice flour 5 cups
Urad dal 1 cup
Cumin seeds 2 tsp.
Salt to taste
Butter 2 Tbsp.
Oil for frying
Need the press for making tenkuzhal (chakli press with the circular holes) Blender for grinding
