Vegan chocolate fudge cake

Method
  • Sift the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well to combine.
  • In another bowl mix the wet ingredients and stir well
  • Add the wet ingredients to dry, slowly, little by little until lump free. Be gentle.
  • Grease and flour a 7-inch diameter tin.
  • Pour the mixture into the tin and drop the tin lightly on the counter to get rid of any bubbles in the mixture.
  • Bake this in a preheated 360F oven for about 30 minutes or until the cake is springy to touch and a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • You will also find the cake leaving the sides of the tin.
  • Cool the cake by leaving it aside for 1 minute or so. Then invert the tin over a rack and tap it gently to unmould the cake.
  • Don`t worry if you see a discoloration at the bottom of the cake. It is nothing but just the flour that you applied on the bottom of the cake tin.
  • Cut it into slabs and sprinkle some powdered sugar on it

    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    3 tbsp cocoa powder
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1 tbsp vinegar
    1 tsp vanilla essence
    1 cup cold water
