Bread Upma with Potatoes

Method
  1. Cut Bread into small pieces. Keep aside.
  2. Wash and boil potatoes in a cold water.
  3. Remove the skins and mash or cut into a small pieces each.
  4. Chop onions, green chilles, Cilantro leaves and curry leaves.
  5. Heat oil or ghee in a deep frying pan.
  6. Add mustard seeds, red chilly, green chilly, curry leaves, chopped onions, salt and turmeric powder.
  7. Stir briskly for about 2 or 3 minutes.
  8. Then add mashed potatoes and bread pieces.
  9. Mix well and and remove from fire.
  10. Garnish with chopped cilantro and pour more hot ghee.
  11. Serve hot with Tamarine sauce or red chilly sauce or Tomato ketchup.
Ingredients:
white bread - 1 pound
potato, large size - 6
white onion, medium size - 6
ghee or cooking oil - 1 cup
black mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
green chilles, chopped finely - 6
red chilly, dried broken- 3
cilantro leaves - 1 bunch
turmeric powder - 2 tsp
curry leaves - 2 sprigs
lemon jucie - 1 tbsp
salt to taste
