Semiya khichadi

Method
  1. In a kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  2. Then add onion and saute.
  3. Add ginger and garlic and saute.
  4. Then add vegetables, curry leaves and saute for few seconds.
  5. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and saute.
  6. Add 4 cups of water and allow it to boil.
  7. Add vermicelli and stir, cover it with a lid and cook for 5 mins in a low flame.
  8. Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Ingredients:
2 cups - semiya (vermicelli)
1/2 inch - ginger, finely chopped
6-7 pods - garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup - beans, carrot, potato, chopped
1 - onion, chopped
4-5 tsp - oil
1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
1/2 tsp - chilli powder
1/2 tsp - mustard
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
