Method
- Soak washed rice and aval together in buttermilk overnight.
- In the morning, drain the excess buttermilk if any and grind to a smooth batter, a little thinner than the regular idly dosa batter.
- Add salt (2 tsp) and cooking soda and mix well.
- Heat a tawa and pour a ladle full of batter and drizzle oil; don`t spread the batter.
- Cook covered over a medium flame for a minute.
- Super soft spongy dosa is ready to enjoy!
- Serve with a spicy chutney.
