Method
  1. In a non-stick sauce-pan, fry the nuts in butter for a few seconds & take out.
  2. In the same pan, heat ghee and fry the carrot, raisins and cardamom for 5 minutes, stirring occassionally to cook evenly.
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk until it is as sweet as you like, cover & simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Mix the rose water and fried nuts in.
  5. Stir well and garnish with the warak sheet and chopped nuts.
Ingredients:
4 cups grated carrots
1 tin sweetened condensed milk (or 1 glass milk & 8 tbsp sugar)
1 cup raisins, chopped cashewnuts, almonds &/or pistachios
1-2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp rose water
2 tbsp chopped nuts for garnish
1 sheet of warak (thin edible silver sheets) as decoration - Optional.
