Ragi pindi boorelu (Sweet with nachini flour)

  1. Mix flour, coconut and elachi powders throughly. Keep it aside.
  2. Prepare syrup with jaggery by adding little water (jaggery should be covered).
  3. When it starts boiling producing bubbles,lower the heat and add the flour mixture. Stir continously abd quickly. Add ghee also while stiring, remove and let it cool.
  4. Knead the dough with little ghee smeared hands.
  5. Make 2 1/2 to3 flat rounds, fry in oil under low medium heat,usually they puff up and become crispy.
  6. Place them on a paper napkin to absorb oil.
  7. It is a healthy and very tasty sweet especially for kids as it a good source of many nutrients like calcium and proteins.
250 gms nachini flour/ragi flour
250 gms wheat flour
300 gms jaggery
1/2 tsp elachi powder
125 gms grated coconut(preferably)/dessicated coconut powder
2-3 tbsp ghee
oil to fry
