Method
Knead the paneer into smooth mixture and form into small round and flat cakes.
Prepare a thin syrup from sugar and 1 litre water.
Remove from fire when done and cover and set aside whole night.
Next morning, place the milk and remaining sugar on a slow fire and cook till the milk is reduced to three-fourths of the original quantity.
Remove from fire, cool and beat to a smooth mixture.
Drain out the syrup from the balls of the syrup, cover with foil and put into the milk.
Sprinkle essence, nuts and cardamoms on top serve after 1 hour, this sweet also lasts for a few days.

500 g - paneer
2 kg - sugar
1 1/2 litres - milk
� kg - sugar
50 g - each of blanched and sliced almonds and pistachios
a few drops - either essence of rose or saffron
