Bottle Gourd Chutney

Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add bottle gourd pieces, cumin seeds, green chilies and saute well for 5 minutes.
  2. Then add curry leaves, turmeric, asafoetida, sambar powder and mix well.
  3. Keep the mixture on medium low flame for 5 more minutes and turn off.
  4. Keep aside to cool. When the content cools down, blend into a fine paste by adding lemon juice and salt.
  5. Add very little water if needed.
  6. Great tasting chutney is ready!! Enjoy this yummy chutney with either rice or chapathis.

1 cup Bottle Gourd Pieces (without skin)
10 Green Chilies
1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Sambar Powder
Few Curry Leaves
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
A pinch of Turmeric Powder
A pinch of Asafetida (Inguva, Hing)
1 tbsp Oil
Salt
