Method
Heat oil in a kadai, add channa dal, urad dal, curry leaves, coriander, asafoetida, red chillies, tamarind and fry till golden brown.
Allow to cool, add coconut, salt and grind in a blender with oil.
Serve with hot rice or roti.

Tamarind, a lemon sized
Coriander
Asafoetida
1/2 cup freshly grated coconut
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil to fry
