Ridge gourd chutney

Method
  1. Fry urad dal and red chillies; keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai, add chopped ridge gourd, onion, tomato, garlic, ginger and tamarind.
  3. Saute well and add coconut.
  4. Grind coarsely all the above with the fried urad dal and red chillies.
  5. Season with mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
  6. Serve with idli, dosa or chapathi.
Ingredients:
250g - ridge gourd
1 - onion
1 - tomato
3 - garlic
1/2 inch - ginger
1 tsp - urad dal
2-3 - red chillies
1 small ball - tamarind
2 tsp - coconut
1/4 tsp - mustard seeds
Curry leaves
